Derek is the solo content designer at Hubs in Amsterdam. Before moving to the Netherlands, he led Wix’s UX writing team in Kyiv, Ukraine. Inspired by a life-long love of language, Derek started out as an English teacher before switching to writing in the tech industry. Outside of work, you can find him cycling, reading a book or obsessing over the latest gadgets. He’s joined on nearly every work call by his cat Moti.

In this presentation, Derek Kedziora will look at what this transition is like for the writer, what kind of content designers companies should look for and how to make the role a success.
